Meet Joann Corcoran
Joann Corcoran is a Principal Consultant with more than 25 years’ experience leading complex business and technology transformation across the Australian Federal Government. Combining executive leadership, program delivery, assurance, and business architecture expertise, she has held senior executive roles including CIO, Assistant Secretary, First Assistant Secretary in the Attorney General’s Department, and National Manager at Customs, providing strategic leadership for major government organisations and nationally significant programs.
Throughout her career, Joann has successfully delivered, assured and recovered some of Australia’s most complex ICT and business transformation initiatives. She has led major programs across numerous government agencies, often in environments subject to significant public scrutiny, audit oversight and complex stakeholder interests. Her expertise spans business architecture, operating model design, governance, benefits realisation, program assurance, organisational change and large-scale technology-enabled transformation.
Joann is particularly recognised for her ability to bridge business and technology perspectives. As a former government executive, she understands how policy, strategy, operations and technology must align to deliver sustainable outcomes. She has repeatedly been called upon to reset troubled programs, remediate significant audit findings, establish effective governance arrangements and guide executive decision-making on complex investments and reforms.
